Scouting for Food 2021making a difference in our local community!

Scouting for Food is an annual food collection held each November. It is a joint effort of younger Cub Scouts and older Scouts.

On Saturday Nov 6th, Cub Scout Pack 168 and Cub Scout pack 189 distributed Scouting for Food door-hangers in area neighborhoods. Over the week, generous residents assembled bags/boxes of food donations and placed them outside their homes visible from the street by 9 AM Saturday Nov 13th.  The older Scouts then did the "heavy lifting"!

Scouts from Troop 168 and Troop 189 canvassed the same neighborhoods, retrieved the residents' generous donations, and transported all to Project SHARE of Carlisle PA.

The 2021 efforts resulted in fifteen (15) overly full shopping carts! Troop 168's collections weighed in at 1,366 pounds!

Pack 168 and Troop 168 are sponsored by Saint Patrick Church and Cub Scout Pack 189 and Troop 189 are sponsored by St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.

MANY THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!
